WELCOME TO JELLURGAL: BOOK NOW for our tours and services

From September 2022, Jellurgal will be open on Saturdays from 9am - 12pm in addition to our weekday operating hours. We are excited to be able to provide our cultural experience to even more visitors with these extended hours, and look forward to meeting people from near and far and sharing our First Nations culture with them.

Entry to the centre is free for all visitors.

We've listed below just a few of the things to do at Jellurgal on your next Saturday morning in Burleigh Heads:

Join us on a guided tour of Jellurgal (Burleigh Headland)

Embark on a journey of discovery into Aboriginal culture with a guided Walkabout Tour that takes you along the picturesque beachside rainforest walkway wrapped around the magical mountain, Jellurgal. Learn about the Aboriginal history and culture of the Gold Coast and hear the Dreaming stories associated with the creation of the mountain. Hear about traditional life, bush tucker, fishing, hunting and the important ecological practices and connection to the land embraced by the Yugambeh speaking people for thousands of years.

Tours begin at 9am with a video presentation in our dedicated theatre area before beginning the walk. The tour group will return to the centre at approximately 11am.
