WELCOME TO JELLURGAL: BOOK NOW for our Jellurgal Walkabout tour

If you are taking a walk around the magical mountain, Jellurgal (Burleigh Head National Park), either with us on a guided cultural tour or on your own, there is no shortage of amazing outlooks for some spectacular photos.

We have rounded up some of the best locations with directions so you can head straight for the money shot. Check out the map below for reference points.

Starting from Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre and heading around the mountain, some of the best spots are:

1. Echo Beach

On the northern side of Tallebudgera Creek, just along the ‘Oceanview Track’, is this serene cove with calm, crystal clear water and white sand. A popular photo location for Instagrammers, it is sometimes mistaken for a secluded tropical island getaway.

2. Where the creek meets the sea

As you walk along the ‘Oceanview Track’ and emerge from the tree-covered paths, you will be greeted by an expanse of blue ocean as Tallebudgera Creek meets the Pacific Ocean.

3. North to Surfers Paradise

Further along the ‘Oceanview Track’ as it bends towards the north, the distinct outline of the Surfers Paradise skyline will come into view, making for a spectacular image that incorporates the beach, sea, sky and skyscrapers.

4. Jebbribillum lookout

If you’re not afraid of a few stairs, take the Burleigh Link Track from the carpark at Burleigh Point to Jebbribillum lookout. ‘Jebbribillum’ is the Yugambeh word for the rocky outcrop at North Burleigh and is connected to Jellurgal in Dreamtime stories.
