Steven Bekue

Steven Bekue is a Bundjalung and Bidjara man.

Steven has been painting for four years and his artworks consist of animals and landscapes from his country, which is made up of dots and lines made with acrylic paints. His inspiration comes from his Aboriginal background and also growing up watching his Auntie, Uncles and cousins create amazing Indigenous Artwork. He found a love for Aboriginal Art not only because he is passionate about his culture, but it also gives him healing and coping mechanisms to express himself through his art. Steven thinks it is very important to keep sharing our culture through stories and different art forms to keep our Aboriginal culture alive.
