Welcome to Jellurgal: Click here for important information about your visit.

Track closure

Due to landslides and boulder falls that occurred during the February 2022 rain event on the Gold Coast, the Oceanview track is closed until the area can be assessed, declared safe and track damage repaired. This is estimated to be until 27 May 2022. Until this time, your Jellurgal tour will be altered to avoid this closed section of track.

For more information, visit the Queensland Government Department of Environment and Science website.

Centre closures

Due to the COVID-19 situation, we are currently working with limitations with staffing and capacity within the centre. This unfortunately means that, at times, we need to close to general visitors when tour groups are visiting. We will do our best to keep your inconvenience to a minimum and thank you for your patience in this matter.

For upcoming centre closures, please visit our Centre Closures page.

The following changes have been made to Jellurgal's operations in order to ensure the safety of our visitors and staff during the COVID-19 situation.

  • Jellurgal is ensuring limited daily visitor numbers to enable social distancing.
  • Bookings for our Jellurgal Walkabout tour can only be purchased online in limited numbers.
  • Queensland Government restrictions will be applicable at all times in our cafe area, with hygiene in this area a high priority.
  • For the safety of all staff and visitors, all Jellurgal staff have been training in accordance to COVID -19 hygiene regulations and we have placed sanitising stations at the entrance and exit of the building as these are high traffic areas. Safe cleaning procedures are in place to ensure the safety of all visitors and staff.
  • Jellurgal has implemented safety measures to ensure social distancing of 1.5 metres physical distance between each person (not from the same household), we ask that you please respect and follow social distance markers and safety of others.
  • Jellurgal encourages cashless transactions.
  • Jellurgal is operating under a COVID -19 Safety Plan in accordance with the Queensland Government (see www.covid19.qld.gov.au for more information)

  • If you have been asked to self-isolate, please do not visit Jellurgal.
  • If you have cold or flu symptoms, we ask that you delay your visit until you are well again. Please contact the centre to discuss any tour booking rescheduling required.
  • We have changed our ticketing process to a pre-purchase, contactless system to keep you safe.
